L-carnitine is produced by the dog organism from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It plays a key role in supplying energy to the heart muscle and burning fat. Although the dog can produce L-carnitine itself, the largest part needed for metabolism is absorbed through food (red meat). The highest concentration of L-carnitine is found in lamb meat. The heart muscle in particular needs a lot of L-carnitine. The heart gets most of its energy from metabolizing fats. Since L-carnitine has been shown to increase fat burning and have positive influences on the fluidity of the blood, it is especially important for supplying the heart muscle. In addition, ICEPAW Red Carnitine can reduce the breakdown of glycogen in the muscles and positively influence the immune system. ICEPAW Red Carnitine is especially recommended for sporting dogs as well as very active dogs due to its excellent properties.

Feeding recommendation:
Red Carnitine Plus at 5 g /10 kg body weight dissolve 2-3 times daily in water. One measuring spoon is 10 g. After opening Keep the product tightly closed, store in a cool and dry place. The insoluble components in Red Carnitine do not affect the desired effect.

Erfolgsstory für Hündin Anja
Hallo,
vor fast 5 Jahren bekamen wir ein kleines Groenendael Welpenbündel namens Anja, welches die ersten Wochen munter war und viel Unsinn im Kopf hatte. Im Alter von 3 Monaten stellte unsere Haus-Tierärztin ungewöhnliche Herztöne fest --- also ab in die Isernhagener Tierklinik. Die Diagnose der Kardiologin => Mitralinsuffizienz, Trikuspidalinsuffizienz, Aorteninsuffizienz, Pulmonalinsuffizienz, Aorteninsuffizienz und Aortenstenose - - - Überlebenschance gleich Null - Therapie: keine (da sich Medikamente auf Grund der vielen Defekte gegenseitig behindern). Das war damals natürlich ein Schock für die Familie. Wir waren dann noch bei anderen Tierärzten mit immer derselben Diagnostik: Der Hund ist eigentlich schon tot.
Unsere Haus-Tierärztin wollte aber noch einen kleinen Therapieversuch mit einem hoch dosiertem L-Carnitin Präparat (damals noch in flüssiger Form) zur Muskelstärkung (und der Herzmuskel ist nun mal nicht mehr als ein dummer Muskel) vornehmen. Nach einem halben Jahr trat nach erneuter kardiologischer Untersuchung tatsächlich eine Besserung ein, so dass auch die Verabreichung von zwei weiteren Herzmittel möglich war...
Bis heute bekommt unsere Anja ihre Herzpillen und seit etwa 3 Jahren sind wir auf dies Carnitin Red von Icepaw umgestiegen (die Flüssigvariante gab es nicht mehr).
Natürlich ist das Pulver keine Wunderdroge, aber es wurde anscheinend das richtige Zeug zur passenden Zeit von passenden Leuten ausgesucht.
Bei uns also alle 5 Sternchen.

Durchfall
Ich habe mehrere Produkte von Icepaw und bin voll zufrieden und alles wird vertragen, außer Red Carnitin Plus - darauf reagieren leider alle Hunde mit Durchfall. Normale L`carnitin Kapseln werden vertragen.
